Catch Me If You Can

This term we have been learning to get free for a pass. We have practiced a dodge, a change of pass and using a change of direction to get away from a defender so we are free for a pass.

Task: Create a video to demonstrate your learning
Success Criteria:
· Use a good filming technique
· Think about your pass
· Name the move you are doing
· Clearly show the move
· Show a variety of moves

Max, you have thought hard about what you want and set goals to help you get there. I can see that these are important to you and you have thought about how to measure success. It can be tricky to measure 'get better at hockey' perhaps if you concentrated on a particular skill it would be easier to measure. I can see you working hard on your maths goals, Soon it will be time to set a new one!

WALT: edit and publish our writing

Success Criteria

  • Use a font and colour that can be easily read

Every night when no one is in the libray, doors and windows appear on books. Voices echo into rooms. lights come on until one night someone walks in din, din, din... he came every night for the whole year. he did it because he saw the books come to life. one night he walk to a book and tuch it boom! He vanshd in to thin air. when he woke up he saw words were ever he looked. He scemed and fall ovor. Now the floor had water because he was cring . He was starting to float. Now he started to go down and down when he looked down their was a hole. Every sceknd  the hole got bigger and bigger sladly he was in the hole then he got stuk slowlly he went down thak. Everone looked  at him. Yaaaaaaaay! I AM BACK I AM BACK I AM BACK. Jack do you know what happend to him I don't know because he 
is kising the floor what should we do...

What a great piece of writing Max. You have taken an idea from your writers notebook, planned your writing and turned it into a complete piece. I love the language you have used 'Voices echo into rooms' and you are experimenting with direct speech to help make your message clear to the reader.
Remember to reread your published piece and check the punctuation and spelling is correct. Use spell check on the computer and a buddy to help.

I followed the Get it, Sort it, Use it inquiry process by…getting my questions and using what i new about the commonwealth games.

My next step when I use the Get it, Sort it, Use it inquiry process is…use it at home and school for laerning.

Max, you successfully used the Get it, Sort it, Use it inquiry process and I am pleased you can see that it is useful in other learning areas as well. 
You have used your reading strategies to help as you read to make meaning and grow your understanding and knowledge. You and your buddy worked to create a kahoot and we had fun using them in class to check our understanding about the Commonwealth Games. At times this was a tricky task but showed perseverance as you worked through your difficulties to create a kahoot with your group.

Te Reo

Max, you and your group work hard to create a clip using your Te Reo learning. You have used clear voices, your clip makes sense and your animation matches the words. I love that you used a script to make sure you remember what to say. Next time, it would be cool if you take turns at filming so you are in the clip as well.
